Came Here to Forget – Part 1
Something’s missing. What are you craving?
You text me, “WYD?”, anxiously waiting staring at the three floating dots.
It’s 2 am, I’m in bed. There’s room for two. Room for you. So come through.
You uber everywhere and now you’re heading to my crib.
Knocking at my door, hoping you find what you’re searching for.
One look at your face and it’s sadness I can’t ignore.
This is what you came for.
Eyes blood shot. You haven’t slept in days.
Tears in your eyes with an uncentered gaze.
I can see that your thoughts are all in a haze, but I take advantage
anyways.
Come lie in my bed, my legs wrapped around your head.
Eat away at your sorrows and maybe we’ll talk all about it tomorrow.
Every kiss, every thrust. Now your mind is full of lust.
You and my sanctuary have met.
Leave all your pain inside me. I’ll take on your debt.
I know why you came here.
You came here to forget.
Every morning you leave and there’s nothing left.
