A Story to Tell

I believe in the Age of Feminism.

A fortunate stroke of serendipity,
A woman with a voice larger than the ego of a man.

Our universe has provided us with the certainty of two things that are infinite;
a woman’s endurance and strength
along with her will to live, love and lead.

A woman should be judged by her attributes,
not by how cute she is, but how astute she is.

The manner in which she can manage a room with her charisma.
The way she can withhold
a household
with the proper tender love and care for those who are careless
by constantly judging a woman by the nearest man that surrounds her.

A woman is prosperous and loyal.
Classic and royal;
a queen rising to her kingdom.

We all have the power to reshape the content of our environment.
All while being judged by the shape of our physical requirements.

I am no accessory to our society and its cynical tendencies.
I am no submissive and no individual ensnares me.

A woman is as beautiful as the sound of a storm on your windowpane, and as merciful as the calm waters that take your breath away.

I am not defined by you, by them, or by anyone.
I am sweetly complimented by the powers of earth, wind and fire and who I aspire to be.

My sole purpose in this particular lifetime, is to nourish the souls of the women who have raised me, and the woman I am raising.
Pay it forward so we can stop execrating each other but start celebrating the life we continue to build to honor the sacrifices made by substantial ladies. It is time to listen and learn from each other’s stories.

I will learn from your story,
their stories
and her story,
and you will learn from mine.
