2 days after my B day I lost my sense of taste and smell later on I had a dry cough and a stomach virus,

I swear every time I coughed it felt like a boa constrictor was wrapping around my chest squeezing the life out of me,

I asked to get tested for the coronavirus and Jacobi hospital told me that my case wasn’t severe enough,

Being from the Bronx I’m used to hearing that,

I’m used to being from a borough that’s treated like an illegitimate child,

I’m used to being from a borough that’s been crippled by poverty,

I read that people from the Bronx are more likely to die from Covid 19 than any other borough,

I sit back and I wonder,

Is it by accident or is it by design?

I wish that I could wipe the tears of a million families that lost their loved ones to this man made virus,

Hospitals are filled to capacity doctors and EMS is on the front lines fightin this tragedy,

It doesn’t care if you’re rich but best believe it’s fucking over everybody that’s poor,

Millions of people are filing for unemployment the kids gotta learn through a tablet otherwise ain’t no learnin happenin,

Then you got Cuomo pullin back bail reforms and cuttin Medicaid i swear this niggas a lame,

Cops are out here givin white folks free mask but are quick to abuse Black and brown folks that don’t have,

Basically everybody that’s locked up has been sentenced to death as their lungs are becoming shallower as they take every breath,

They call some of us essential workers but all we really are is disposable earners,

I’m not against vaccines but I find it funny how we got 2 vaccines for Covid 19 before Flint Michigan got clean water,

Also the fact that they passed the PREP Act that says if something happens to me if I take it I can’t sue Moderna or Pfzier seems suspect at best,

Some of y’all say that Black and Brown folks should just blindly accept it but if you know the history of this country then understand why alot of us are skeptic,

Let’s not forget that the Tuskegee experiments weren’t that long ago where Black folks were used as lab rats,

My job didn’t close until a manager got sick even though me and my coworkers was saying they been needed to close down quick,

Some of y’all talk about privilege on the daily and are drowning in it y’all get to work from home while the rest of us gotta play Russian roulette with our health just to try to get a little wealth,

Trump had states fighting against each other like it’s the hunger games just to get a ventilator and some mask I already know the government doesn’t give a fuck about my poor Black ass,

They gave us $1200 one time and $600 recently knowing damn well you gon need more than that to be out here living decently,

Congress was like Smokey’s mom from Friday they said make it enough,

Homeless people got complaints filed against them by white folks on the upper west side for using a hotel as a shelter,

I’m like damn y’all niggas is that hateful shit what you need to do is mind ya business, count ya blessings and be grateful,

You got Black and Brown people locked up with no hand sanitizer or soap meanwhile Ellen DeGeneres was at home in her ivory tower making quarantine jokes,

I know everybody says stay at home but you gotta understand it’s hard for some because we ain’t got the resources that we all need,

I ain’t gon lie wearing this mask is uncomfortable as fuck I can hardly breath sometimes but I hope some of y’all stop policing niggas for taking it off for 5 minutes at a time,

You got people hoarding toilet paper and cleanin supplies I never thought I would see so much greed with my eyes,

Are y’all telling me you wasn’t cleaning ya house, washin ya hands and  ya ass before the coronavirus threw a whole year in the trash?

I ain’t tryin to scare niggas but this shit feels like the new world order because you know the system is designed to fuck niggas when 6ix9ine can get released before Ramsey Orta,

You got niggas out here that was sellin dime and nickel bags 2 months ago but now they doctors and scientist screamin about 5G,
