The Ugly Truth
I was going to write a love poem.
Tell the world about you.
Let everyone know I can’t live without you.
But then I realized I would be looked at as crazy.
Because you see your world doesn’t know about me.
You hide me away from the others.
Playing around with your multiple lovers.
So I’m going to write a poem and tell the world about you.
You’re a heartless piece of shit.
You were something I should’ve quit.
You’re a coward.
You ripped out my heart and it was devoured.
You’re the devil himself. What a beautiful disguise.
It’s amazing how you still look angelic behind all those lies.
And worst of all, you’re a memory.
A memory that is burned into my mind and now you’ll be with me for a lifetime.
You’re tears that will never dry.
I loved you. And I don’t know why.
You’re a song in my head that plays over and over again.
My heart cannot be amend.
I wrote this poem about you because I wanted the world to know that you were the best goodbye and the worse hello.
